All photos and videos listed under the pictures and videos on this site (except for the above photo of jupiters clouds used from apod.com) have been taken with my iPhone.
From 2009 to 2010 I used an iPhone 3g and in December of 2010 upgraded to an iPhone 4.
I purchased the MX1 to help stabilize my phone when taking pictures. 2011 was a great year for iphone astronomy.
I am looking forward to the release of the iphone 5 later this year.
All pictures under “More iPhone Astronomers” have been taken by other iphone/astronomy buffs. If you use your iPhone for astrophotography and would like and/or allow me to add them to this site, please send an email with the object, date & time, and your first name. Or if you have them on a website, send me a link and give me permission to use them. I will link back to you. I like to give credit where credit is due.
Some may ask, why did you start this site? Well, after taking hundreds of pictures and videos with my iPhone, I thought it would be neat to display them somewhere online. Hopefully this site will bring other like minded iPhone astronomers together. Please bookmark!
